We purchased the start kit in August but did not install it until the end of September. It worked perfectly fine for 3 weeks then randomly the car wouldn't start. Remove the kit and same thing. Had to type it to the dealership and something in the starting circuit had fried. They didn't know about the start kit but after lots of research it appears the start kit shorted out of short circuited the electronics. Now I'm stuck with a $200 useless box.

I specifically ordered the Alpine R-W12D4 but received the R2-W12D4. This was not my intended purchase, as I already possess an R-W12D4, and your company had advertised the availability of the desired model. The representative indicated that he believed I would be pleased with the newer version. NO! If the R-W12D4 was unavailable, an email notification would have been appreciated. The representative appeared frustrated, but my own frustration was more significant. This situation necessitated the purchase of an additional R2-W12D4 to ensure compatibility, incurring an unforeseen expense. Furthermore, the R2-W12D4 is readily available and more affordably priced through local retailers.
